Cheese in Green Sauce

This tasty green sauce cheese recipe is ideal for spicy food lovers, although it is also an excellent appetizer or a great snack to share with family. Don't forget to accompany it with flour tortillas.

  • 5 tomatillos
  • 1 serrano chile
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • salt
  • 1/2 cups chicken bullion
  • 200 grams panela cheese
  • 1/4 cups cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups onion, finely chopped

  • Roast the tomatoes, chiles, garlic, and onion on a griddle for 5 minutes or until charred.
  • Blend the tomatoes, chiles, garlic, onion, cumin, chicken broth, and season with salt. Blend for 5 minutes or until everything is perfectly ground.
  • Heat a grill and add the panela cheese. Seal on both sides for 2 minutes. Set aside.
  • Serve on a deep plate, pour the green sauce over it, and add the chopped cilantro and onion. Enjoy with flour tortillas.
