Christmas Sausages

Celebrate Christmas with family with these delicious Christmas sausages. They have a rich sweet and sour flavor that will surprise you. Everyone will want to try them!

  • 2 tablespoons butter, in medium cubes
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cups raw sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter, in medium cubes, to cook the sausages
  • 2 cups shaker sausage
  • 1 cup canned pineapple, in small cubes
  • chives, finely chopped

  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until translucent.
  • Add the tomato sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and pineapple juice. Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat until thickened. Set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook for 5 minutes until lightly browned. Add the pineapple and the sauce. Cook for 5 more minutes. Set aside.
  • Serve the Christmas sausages in a bowl and garnish with finely chopped green onion.
