  • Cut the onion into thin strips; this will help the cooking process to be quicker and dry easily. Set aside.
  • Place the onion strips in the air fryer basket and fry at 80 °C for 30 minutes or until the onions are dry.
  • Grind in a processor for 5 minutes or until you have a powder consistency. Place in a lidded container and store in a dry place.
  • Cut the garlic into thin slices and try to make all the pieces the same size and thickness for even cooking.
  • Place the garlic slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 100 °C for 40 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and grind in a processor for 5 minutes or until you have a powder consistency. If you see that the powder has large chunks, you can use a sieve to sift.
