Strawberry Jam Filled Puff Pastries

These Strawberry Jam Filled Puff Pastries will perfectly accompany a cup of coffee or tea for breakfast.

  • 1 egg
  • strawberry jams, to taste
  • 400 grams puff pastry

  • Using a rolling pin, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle.
  • Cut the rectangle in half and then cut smaller squares from each half.
  • In each square, pour jam from corner to corner, being careful not to put too much or too close to the edges to prevent overflow.
  • Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius and form a roll with each rectangle.
  • Place the rolls on baking sheets lined with parchment paper underneath them.
  • In a bowl, beat the egg yolk and, using a brush, paint the top of the rolls.
  • Bake the puff pastries for 15 minutes or until golden. Remove from the oven.
