  • 250 grams tamarind pulp
  • 1/2 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons chile powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • sugar , for sprinkling
  • water, warm
  • corn husk for tamale

  • Combine the tamarind pulp, water, sugar, chili powder, and salt in a pot and cook for 5 minutes or until a thick texture is achieved. Let it cool.
  • Take small portions of the tamarind sweet, cover with sugar, and place inside a corn husk. Wrap and close the tamarind tamales.
