Prepare this delicious Galician-style octopus recipe, a typical dish of Spanish cuisine in 3 simple steps.
Ideal as an appetizer or for snacking, very easy and quick to prepare.
Boil water in a saucepan and add salt. When the water is boiling with a high bubble, take the octopus by the head, letting the tentacles hang. Immerse the octopus in boiling water without letting go and take it out 3 times in a row; on the third time, submerge it completely in the water until it is covered. By doing this, the octopus will be firm and we will prevent it from shredding while cooking. Cook for 18 minutes.
After the time has passed, add the potatoes and cook for 20 more minutes. To check if the octopus is cooked, you can pierce it with a wooden stick in the center; if it offers no resistance, it is ready.
On a board, cut the octopus into medium pieces and the potatoes into slices.
On a round wooden plate, serve a bed of potatoes, place the octopus on top, sprinkle with paprika, olive oil, and coarse salt.
