Chop the basil and mix it with the oil and balsamic vinegar, add salt, pepper, and set aside.
Cut the ciabattas in half, spread butter on each half.
Slice the tomato and mozzarella cheese.
Place lettuce, tomato slices, and drizzle with basil vinaigrette on each piece of bread, then add the mozzarella cheese and finish with slices of Parmesan cheese.
Cover with the other piece of bread.
If desired, they can be heated in a sandwich maker or served cold.
