3 Easy Cheese Snacks

Prepare these cheese snacks in 3 different ways: cream cheese covered with a spicy ancho chili jam; an original ball of cream cheese seasoned with mustard, garlic powder, and honey; or a delicious panela cheese in the oven spiced with oregano and chili flakes. You will love them!

  • 3 cream cheese, (190 g each) cut into cubes, for cheese with sesame
  • 1/2 cups black olives, finely chopped, for cheese with sesame
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, for cheese with sesame
  • 1 tablespoon honey, for cheese with sesame
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, for cheese with sesame
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, for cheese with sesame
  • 1/2 cups black sesame seeds, for cheese with sesame
  • 1/2 cups sesame seeds, white, for cheese with sesame
  • 1 kilo panela cheese, whole, for spiced panela cheese
  • 1 teaspoon chile flakes, for spiced panela cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped, for spiced panela cheese
  • 2 tablespoons oregano, for spiced panela cheese
  • 1/3 cups olive oil, for spiced panela cheese
  • 1/4 cups corn oil, for spiced panela cheese
  • 1 cup apricot jam, for cream cheese with apricot jam and chili
  • 1 ancho chile, soaked, for cream cheese with apricot jam and chili
  • 1 cream cheese, for cream cheese with apricot jam and chili

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • For the cheese with sesame, in a bowl mix the cream cheese with the olives, garlic powder, honey, mustard, and olive oil, season with salt to taste, and set aside in the refrigerator.
  • On a wooden board, place a non-stick plastic and the previous preparation. Cover with more plastic to form a ball, using a spoon, coat the ball with sesame seeds until completely covered, serve with puff pastry sticks.
  • For the panela cheese, place the cheese in an oven-safe dish and, using a fork, poke the surface of the panela cheese. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix the chili flakes with the garlic, oregano, and oils. Pour the mixture over the cheese and cook in your oven for 20 minutes. Serve with crackers and enjoy.
  • For the cheese with jam, heat a pan over low heat, pour in the apricot jam, season with the ancho chili to taste, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Place the cream cheese on a plate and drizzle with the previous preparation. Serve with crackers and enjoy.
