Baked Mozzarella Cheese Tree

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, milk, butter, yeast, sugar, and egg until you have a firm mixture, add the rosemary, and knead until integrated. Place in a bowl and cover with non-stick plastic, let it rest until the dough doubles in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 170 °C.
  • On a floured table and with the help of your hands, remove the excess air from the dough, then weigh out balls of approximately 30 grams, add the cheese, and shape into a uniform sphere.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming a Christmas tree, brush with egg, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Serve with rustic tomato sauce and garnish with fresh rosemary.
