Brie Cheese and Walnut Snack for Baby Shower

An easy snack to make, ideal for sharing with your guests. It tastes delicious and is quick to prepare. Walnuts have a significant amount of Omega 3 fatty acids, as well as being a source of minerals, vitamin B6, folic acid, antioxidants, and protein. What is it for? Eating six walnuts a day helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

  • 1 Brie cheese, or camembert (250 grams)
  • 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 cups maple syrup
  • cookies, for serving

  • Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  • Place the cheese on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, transfer to the serving plate, and let cool for 20 minutes.
  • While the cheese cools, place the walnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 7 to 10 minutes until toasted.
  • Sprinkle the walnuts over the cheese.
  • In a skillet, mix the sugar with the honey. Cook over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Pour the sauce over the cheese.
  • Serve with crackers.
