Goat Cheese and Olive Snack

The Goat Cheese and Olive Snack is a delicious treat with a very fun presentation. It’s a snack in the shape of penguins, mounted on delicious hearts of palm and mushrooms. Ideal for the little ones at home or as a fun appetizer at any party.

  • 2 packages goat cheese
  • 2 cans black olives
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 cans white button mushrooms, canned
  • 1 can heart of palm
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • Preheat the oven to 190° C.
  • Drain the liquid from the cans of mushrooms, hearts of palm, and olives.
  • Mix the mushrooms and hearts of palm in a bowl, and add oil, salt, and pepper. Bake this mixture for 25 minutes.
  • Cut half of the olives in half, making sure they don't separate, as these will be the wings of the penguins. Keep the other half of the olives whole, as they will be the heads.
  • Cut the carrot with a knife to form the beaks and the feet of the penguin.
  • Form goat cheese balls, cover the balls with the opened olives and place whole olives on top of them. Make a small opening in the whole olives, and insert the carrot beak into it. Place the feet underneath the body.
  • Serve immediately when the vegetables are cooked. Arrange your penguins along the tray.
