Mantecadas with Cheddar Cheese

These almond milk mantecadas with cheddar cheese are perfect for snacks at your parties and will surely save the day. They are fluffy and delicious with rich cheddar cheese and an unmatched flavor, plus they are very easy to make.

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons chile powder
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup almond drink Silk® almond original
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

  • Preheat the oven to 190° C. Grease 7 mantecada molds with butter.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour, cheese, sugar, baking powder, salt, and chili powder.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg together with the olive oil and your Silk® Almond Original almond milk, free of sweeteners and artificial colors, until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Mix all the ingredients until evenly moistened.
  • Pour the mixture into the molds, filling them to the edge and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden and dry.
