Mummy Puff Pastry

A delicious recipe in an excellent version for a Halloween party. The brie cheese with apples, walnuts, and honey covered in a mummy-shaped puff pastry will be a delightful surprise.

  • 1 Brie cheese, round
  • 300 puff pastry
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 green apples
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 2 flour

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Slice the apple thinly and mix in a deep bowl with the honey, rosemary, and walnut.
  • On a surface, sprinkle a little flour and roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin, cutting the puff pastry into two halves.
  • Place the apple mixture in the center of one of the sheets of puff pastry and place the brie cheese on top.
  • Cover the edges of the puff pastry with a little beaten egg and fold over the cheese as if it were a gift.
  • Turn the brie upside down and decorate with strips of puff pastry to achieve the mummy effect, place two walnuts as if they were the eyes, and brush all over the cheese with the beaten egg.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving.
