Recipe for Mac & Cheese Croquettes

  • 4 cups elbow pasta, cooked
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Smucker's® orange marmalade
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups panko
  • vegetable oil
  • Smucker's® orange marmalade, for serving

  • Cook the macaroni, milk, and butter over medium heat for 5 minutes. Then, add the Cheddar cheese, Gruyere cheese, and Smucker’s® orange jam. Mix and cook for 5 more minutes or until the cheese melts.
  • Place the macaroni on a tray and let cool in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
  • Shape the croquettes with the macaroni. Then, dip in egg and then in panko.Fry 5 to 6 croquettes in a pot with enough oil over medium-high heat for 5 to 8 minutes or until crispy. Remove from the oil and let drain on a plate with paper towels.
  • Serve the croquettes and accompany with Smucker’s® orange jam.
