Spinach Cheese Dip in Bread

A snack that is easy to make and will always be a hit at your gatherings. The dip goes inside the bread; you just need to tear off a piece of bread and enjoy this delight.

  • 1 french country bread, or any large round bread
  • 1/2 cups unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated divided into two parts
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 cups spinach, finely chopped

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • Make horizontal cuts in the bread, then make vertical cuts to create a grid pattern. Be careful not to cut all the way through the bread.
  • Fill the crevices of the bread with ¾ cup of mozzarella. This will keep the bread compact and allow you to add the other ingredients.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet and add the garlic. Incorporate the spinach.
  • Carefully place the spinach mixture on top of the mozzarella cheese inside the bread.
  • Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover the bread and leave it in the oven for 2 more minutes.
