Chicken Chalupitas

For those craving days, prepare this chicken chalupitas recipe at home, accompanied by a green tomato salsa, red tomato, onion, with serrano peppers and dried chilies.   • 400 grams masa dough
  • water
  • 1 tablespoon lard
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons onion
  • 1/2 cups Herdez® Don Danny salsa
  • salt
  • pepper
  • lettuce
  • queso fresco, for decoration

  • In a bowl, mix the corn dough, water, lard, and salt, and knead until fully integrated.
  • Shape small balls with your hands and, using a press, form tortillas.
  • On a griddle, roast the chalupas on both sides.
  • In a bowl, mix the chicken, cream, onion, Don Danny Herdez® Salsa, salt, and pepper.
  • Serve the chalupa with chicken, lettuce, and fresh cheese. Enjoy.
