Corn Dog

This corn dog is easy and quick. Kids love it, and it also serves as a snack... I hope you like it.

  • 1 cup flour , sifted
  • 300 milliliters sparkling water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 12 sausages
  • 1 liter oil
  • mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup to taste

  • Mix the flour with salt, pepper, egg, and mineral water, and finally add the baking powder with a mixer to break up any lumps; it should be a heavy and thick mixture.
  • Skewer the sausages with the skewers and dip the sausages in this mixture; heat the oil in a saucepan or skillet to 180°C.
  • Fry the perfectly coated sausages in the mixture for 30 seconds and turn them so they become golden and fluffy, then remove them so they don’t over-brown. Take them out and drain on a paper towel.
