Place cucumbers in a colander. Sprinkle with salt and let sit for 1 hour.
Dry cucumbers with a paper towel and spread butter on all slices of bread.
Place cucumbers on top of the slices of bread. Sprinkle with pepper and chervil.
Trim the edges of the bread and cut the sandwich in half, and then again. This way they will be snack-sized.
Tip: You can prepare the sandwiches up to 8 hours in advance, but do not trim the edges. Cover them and place them in the refrigerator. You can trim the edges up to 3 hours before serving.
