Fried Tuna Rolls

  • 4 cans tuna, in salad
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 10 flour tortillas
  • vegetable oil
  • chipotle chiles, to taste

  • Place the cream cheese in a bowl and soften it. This can be done with a fork, a mixer, or whatever you have on hand.
  • Add the tuna and chipotle to the cream cheese and stir. While integrating the ingredients, adjust the amount of chipotle to your liking.
  • Distribute the filling among all the tortillas, placing it in the center.
  • To form the rolls, take the right and left sides of the tortilla and fold them towards the center carefully, covering the filling. Then take the bottom part to cover the previous folds. Finally, cover everything with the top part and secure with one or more toothpicks.
  • Put a skillet on medium-high heat with enough oil, about one to two centimeters.
  • Place the rolls, seam side down, into the pan. Fry until golden brown, being careful not to burn them.
  • Remove the rolls from the oil and place them on a plate with absorbent napkins to drain the excess oil.
  • Repeat steps 6 and 7 until all are finished.
