1 tablespoon vanilla essence
2 egg whites
8 tablespoons sugar
8 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons water

Preheat the oven to 150 °C.
Whip the egg whites with the oil and vanilla until frothy, but do not whip to peaks.
Sift the flour and cornstarch.
Gradually mix into the egg yolk mixture along with the rest of the ingredients.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and use a spoon to form thin circles with the mixture.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and at that moment place the fortune in the middle and fold them, as they dry out and break with the air.
When folding them in half, press with the edge of a cup to give them shape.
Let cool while applying pressure so they do not lose their shape.
