Fried Chapulines

  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 cups white lime
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt
  • 1 guindilla pepper
  • 3 cups chapulines
  • corn tortillas

  • Wash the chapulines well. Then soak them in lime water for at least 4 hours.
  • Change the water for clean water for 1 more hour.
  • After this time, rinse them very well again and drain.
  • Heat the oil with the chili without letting it burn.
  • Fry the chapulines.
  • Serve in hot corn tortillas.
