Cheese with Herbs and Ham

This dish consists of very Mexican herbs and the exquisite flavor of ham; you can serve it as a snack while enjoying a beer or wine, you will love this great cheese.

  • 1/3 cups olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley , finely chopped
  • 1/2 árbol chiles, dried, finely chopped
  • slices avocado, to taste
  • 1/4 tablespoons black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons oregano , dried, crushed
  • 6 slices turkey deli ham, in finely chopped cubes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoons mint leaf , finely chopped
  • 1 kilo panela cheese
  • tortilla chips , to taste

  • Mix the oils with the pepper and salt until the salt dissolves.
  • Add the other ingredients, except for the cheese, and mix until everything is incorporated. Check the salt.
  • Place the cheese in a bowl, use a fork to lightly pierce it to make some holes, and drizzle it with the prepared oil. Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least one night.
  • Serve the cheese cold and bake it at 180ºC for 15 minutes.
  • Cut the cheese into slices and accompany it with slices of avocado, tortilla chips, and table salsa to taste.
