Quesabanderillas

Try these delicious and practical quesabanderillas! They are perfect for kids and adults, as you can fill them with your favorite ingredients. For this version, we made some delicious ham quesabanderillas and others with irresistible chilorio; do they sound tempting?

  • For the ham and cheese banderilla: on a flat surface, place a flour tortilla, a slice of ham, and a slice of cheese, then roll it up. Using a knife, cut roll-ups into 3 cm pieces. Insert the roll-ups one on top of the other, by the tortilla side, onto a wooden stick. Repeat the process to form 4 banderillas. Set aside.
  • For the chilorio banderilla: on a flat surface, place a flour tortilla, a slice of manchego cheese, and a tablespoon of chilorio, then roll it up. Using a knife, cut roll-ups into 3 cm pieces. Insert the roll-ups one on top of the other, by the tortilla side, onto a wooden stick. Repeat the process to form 4 banderillas. Set aside.
  • Melt a little butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the banderillas and cook for 5 to 6 minutes or until cheese crusts form on each side. Remove and set aside.
  • Place the quesabanderillas on a board and accompany with green salsa.
