Arab Pita or Camel

Nowadays, there are many fillings for pita bread; I bring you an Arabic style. In the Middle East, the term kebab refers to meat that is grilled/cooked over flames; large or small pieces of meat; it can be served on plates, in sandwiches, or in bowls. The traditional meat for kebab is lamb.

  • 1 kilo lamb, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • white peppers, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoons ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoons pimentón
  • 1/2 lettuce, chopped and washed
  • 1 tomatillo, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • dressing, olive oil and vinegar
  • 1/2 liters Greek yogurt, or fresh jocoque
  • salt, to taste

  • In a bowl, mix all the ingredients. White pepper, salt. 1/2 tsp of ginger. 1/4 of bell pepper.
  • In a pan with hot olive oil, add them and cook until the meat is well cooked and golden.
  • Open the pita bread in the middle and fill them with the meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, add 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt or fresh jocoque inside each pita, and dress with the oil and vinegar dressing.
