Bacon Sandwich with Berries and Cheese

Can you imagine a sandwich with a sweet and savory flavor? You have to try this delight that will surprise you with its exquisite taste of homemade berry jam and the delicious mozzarella cheese that melts in your mouth. A flavor contrast between two delicious and soft slices of 12 grain bread.

  • 1/2 cups blackberries
  • 1/2 cups raspberries
  • 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 200 grams bacon
  • 1 bunch asparagus, blanched
  • 12 slices Oroweat® 12 grain bread
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a medium saucepan, add the blackberries and raspberries with the sugar, and let it cook for 20 minutes or until it has a jam-like consistency. Cool and set aside.
  • Wrap the asparagus with bacon, and in a medium skillet, fry the asparagus until they turn golden brown.
  • On a baking sheet, place 6 slices of Oroweat® 12 grain bread and add the mozzarella cheese, bake for 7 minutes or until it is melted and bubbly.
  • On one of the cheese-covered bread slices, place the bacon-wrapped asparagus and add the jam. Top it and enjoy.
