Caprese-style Sandwich

If you want to try a very different and super tasty sandwich, this Caprese-style sandwich is the one, with its delicious slices of mozzarella cheese and tomato between tasty slices of gluten-free bread.

  • 8 slices bread, Saníssimo® gluten-free
  • 12 slices Mozzarella cheese
  • 12 slices tomato
  • 12 basil, fresh
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 4 pinches salt
  • 4 pinches pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • Layer the cheese, tomato, and basil on a slice of bread.
  • Brush with a little olive oil and vinegar. Season and cover with another slice of bread.
  • In a skillet over low heat, toast each sandwich with a little butter. Serve hot.
