Crispy Express Pita

For a quick snack when you don't have time to prepare something elaborate, make this crispy express pita with Serrano ham, cheese, and lettuce.

  • 4 pita breads
  • 4 slices serrano ham
  • 4 slices Emmental cheese
  • butterhead lettuce, or coarsely chopped romaine

  • Open a quarter of the pitas by cutting from the side.
  • Place 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese in each one.
  • Put the pitas in the toaster with the opening facing up or in the microwave and heat for 2 minutes on maximum power.
  • Fill the interior of the pita with the lettuce you chose and enjoy.
