Cheese-Stuffed Corn Dogs

A delicious option for a weekend with friends. Perfect and simple corn dogs that everyone will enjoy.

  • 8 slices cheese
  • 8 sausages
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 2 eggs
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • ketchup
  • mustard

  • Place the sausages between slices of cheese.
  • Wrap the sausages with cheese, then insert the covered sausages onto a wooden stick.
  • Place the rolled sausages with the seam side down on a baking sheet.
  • Freeze for 20 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, baking powder, milk, and eggs until all ingredients are well combined and free of lumps.
  • Pour the mixture into a tall glass to facilitate dipping.
  • Heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  • Take one of the sausages from the freezer and dip it into the mixture. When lifting it, be sure to rotate it to remove the excess mixture.
  • Using tongs, dip the sausage in the mixture and into the hot oil, rotating to cook evenly. Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Serve with ketchup and mustard.
