  • Insert a skewer into the center of the potato and place it on a flat, clean surface. Make a diagonal cut while turning the potato. Carefully remove the skewer, but do not open the potato yet.
  • Then, make a hole in the potato using a corer, being very careful.
  • Insert the sausage onto the same skewer, then reinsert the potato and start to stretch the potato carefully, covering the sausage. You’ll notice how it forms a spiral!
  • Mix the wheat flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then pour in the beer. Incorporate all the ingredients and coat the spiral potatoes in the mixture, covering them well.
  • Heat the oil in a pot over medium-high heat and fry the spiral potatoes with sausage for 5 minutes or until they change color and become crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Place the spiral potatoes with sausage on a tray and drizzle with liquid cheese, ketchup, and Salsa Huichol® La De Las Botanas.
