Valentina Potatoes

  • 1 kilo new potatoes
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 lemons
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • valentina sauce, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Boil the potatoes with their skins in salted water.
  • When they are soft, drain and poke with a toothpick or needle so that the flavors penetrate. Heat a skillet and add the butter. Fry the garlic, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add the potatoes and season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 10 minutes.
  • Add the Valentina sauce, this ingredient is to taste. If you don’t eat much spice, it is recommended to use only 4 to 5 tablespoons. Let it season and finally add the lime. Adjust seasoning and remove from heat.
  • Serve on a platter and decorate with toothpicks or skewers of figurines related to the occasion. It is preferable to eat warm, as the butter solidifies and becomes less pleasant to the palate when cooled.
