Spicy Prune Sauce with Cheese

It’s a simple sauce to pour over a large cream cheese and serve with crackers (ritz or similar).

  • 200 grams seedless prune
  • 1/3 cups water
  • 2 chipotle chiles
  • 100 grams piloncillo
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 package cream cheese, large (90GR)

  • Bring the water to a boil, pour in the prunes, and hydrate them. Add the piloncillo and stir until dissolved.
  • Empty the prunes, piloncillo, and a bit of the water you boiled them in, if necessary, into the blender. Add the chipotle peppers (if you want it spicier, add more peppers), a pinch of salt, and blend until smooth.
  • Place the cream cheese on a plate and pour the sauce over it, reheat in the microwave, and decorate with the crackers around it.
