Swiss Meatballs

Swiss meatballs are made from ground beef and breadcrumbs and accompanied by a rich berry sauce. These meatballs can be served as a snack with toothpicks and look spectacular.

400 ground beef
1 egg, beaten
100 grams breadcrumbs
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons flour
3 cups beef broth
1 cup cranberry jam, or berries

In a deep bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, dill, and season with salt and pepper.
Make balls from the mixture, you should get 20.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet and brown the meatballs. Remove from the skillet.
Add the butter and flour to the skillet and mix with a whisk. Add the beef broth and cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
Return the meatballs to the sauce and cook for 5 more minutes.
Serve the meatballs with the sauce or a cranberry or berry jelly.
