To prepare the sauce:
Peel the tomatoes and chop them into small cubes, as well as the onion, garlic, and basil. Set everything aside.
In a pan, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then add the onion and season until it turns translucent, add the garlic, stirring continuously for 1 minute, then add the tomato and basil, continue stirring and mash in the pan with a masher.
Then add the tomato puree, salt, and pepper to taste and turn off the heat once it has boiled.
Cut the baguette into ovals about one centimeter thick or to your liking. Heat the tapas on a griddle and set aside.
To serve:
place the previously heated tapas on a platter, add the sauce, and finally sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
