Fish and Shrimp Strips in Mango Aguachile

  • 500 grams white fish fillet, cut into strips
  • 500 grams medium-sized shrimp, peeled, cut lengthwise, and cleaned
  • 1 1/2 kilos lime, Approximately 30 pieces
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 mango, paradise, not very ripe
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro
  • 1 Habanero chile
  • white vinegar
  • Maggi seasoning
  • Worcestershire sauce

  • Once the fish is washed and drained, distribute it in a preferably flat glass container and season to taste.
  • Add the juice of half of the limes (approximately 15 pieces) to the fish.
  • In another container, season the washed and dried shrimp with salt and pepper, add to the fish distributing in a uniform layer so that everything is covered with lime juice (10 pieces), cover, and let rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Add the onion cut into julienne or strips and the mango cut into cubes.
  • Blend the juice of 5 limes, the habanero chili, a little vinegar, the clove of garlic, ground pepper, a splash of Maggi sauce, and Worcestershire sauce,
  • Evenly add the mixture to the fish and shrimp. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro to taste.
