Fish Wrapped with Nopal Salad

Nopales contain a large amount of dietary fiber and fish is rich in omega-3. Fish Wrapped with Nopal Salad is not only healthy but also very easy to prepare and an excellent option for the Easter season.

  • To prepare the salad, chop the tomatoes, onion, nopales, and cilantro, mix and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Season the fillets and place them on a piece of aluminum foil twice the size of the fillet, as it needs to be enough to wrap it later. Add 1/4 teaspoon of butter, 1/4 portion of the nopal salad, and on the last layer, add Oaxaca cheese and panela to taste. Wrap the fillets with the aluminum foil.
  • Place the wrapped fillets in a steamer and cook for 4 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.
