Preheat your oven. Grease a baking tray or line it with aluminum foil.
Season your fish fillets to your liking.
Mix the parmesan cheese, butter, mayonnaise, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Season with the herbs of your choice, pepper, and salt.
Arrange the fish fillets, without overlapping, in the greased tray. Bake about 15 centimeters from the oven broiler for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the fillets and bake for a couple more minutes. Remove the fillets from the oven and cover the surface with the parmesan sauce. Place under the oven broiler for 2 more minutes or until the parmesan topping has browned and the fish can be flaked easily with a fork. Be careful not to cook the fish longer than necessary.
