Shrimp and Sesame Patties

Perfect patties to add to romeritos or to eat on their own. They are simple to prepare and have a lot of flavor. You will love them.

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 8 tablespoons shrimp, ground
  • 4 tablespoons grated cheese
  • 4 tablespoons cumin
  • 4 eggs
  • vegetable oil

  • In a bowl, mix the sesame, shrimp, cheese, and breadcrumbs.
  • Separate the eggs to whip the whites until they reach a meringue-like consistency, then add the yolks (without salt). Heat the oil in a skillet.
  • Add the eggs to the mixture and mix perfectly until you have a sort of paste.
  • This new mixture is taken in portions, the size will depend on how large you want the patties. Keep in mind that they will puff up a bit when cooked.
  • Remove from the oil once they have changed color and place on a plate lined with absorbent paper.
