Hawaiian Shrimp

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 600 grams shrimp, clean and peeled
  • 1/2 cups onion
  • 2 tablespoons garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups canned pineapple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/2 cups chipotle chile
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 2 cups pineapple, cut into cubes
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cups white rice, for serving

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with the oil and butter, add the shrimp and cook until they are golden, then remove.
  • In the same skillet, cook the onion and garlic until soft, add the pineapple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup, chipotle, cumin, and cook until thickened.
  • Return the shrimp, add the pineapple, and continuously coat with the sauce to glaze them. Serve with white rice, garnish with onion stalks, and enjoy.
