Rosarito Shrimp Tostadas

Instead of some tacos, prepare Rosarito shrimp tostadas; they will taste delicious, I assure you, because my family loves them.

  • 800 grams shrimp, large
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 cups lettuce, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup tomato purée
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro, fresh
  • 2 Jalapeño chiles
  • 1/4 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/4 cups ketchup
  • 8 tostadas

  • First, to make the tomato sauce, mix the tomato puree, cilantro, and chilies.
  • Then, to make the special dressing, mix mayonnaise, pepper, and ketchup.
  • Once you have the two sauces ready, peel and clean the shrimp. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Place two bowls, one with beaten eggs and another with breadcrumbs. Dip each shrimp first in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the shrimp. Then place them on paper towels to absorb the grease.
  • Assemble the tostadas by placing a tostada, lettuce, dressing, sauce, and shrimp.
