Enjoy this Acapulco-style shrimp cocktail recipe, with a hint of orange soda, which gives it a subtly sweet flavor, but neutralized thanks to the olive oil, without leaving behind the spicy flavor of serrano chili, the ideal recipe for Lent!
1 cup tomato purée, or 1 1/2 for the cocktail sauce
1/4 cups olive oil, for the cocktail sauce
1/2 cups orange soda, sugar-free for the cocktail sauce
1/2 cups orange juice, freshly squeezed, for the cocktail sauce
1/2 cups lime juice, freshly squeezed, for the cocktail sauce
1 teaspoon seasoning sauce, for the cocktail sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, for the cocktail sauce
4 cups pink shrimp, or precooked shrimp
pinches salt, for the cocktail sauce
pepper, for the cocktail sauce
onion, finely chopped, for garnish
cilantro, finely chopped, for garnish
avocado, in cubes, for garnish
crackers, for garnish

Cut the onion finely and the tomato into small cubes (remove the seeds beforehand), the serrano chili, and the cilantro. Place everything in a bowl and mix.
Pour the ketchup, tomato puree, olive oil, orange soda, orange juice, lime juice, seasoning sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and the shrimp, then season with salt and pepper and mix everything perfectly. Refrigerate the shrimp cocktail before serving.
Serve the Acapulco-style shrimp cocktail in a glass or cocktail glass and accompany with onion, cilantro, avocado, and crackers.
