Shrimp Skewers

Delicious shrimp skewers, soaked in white wine to enjoy on a hot afternoon.

  • 16 shrimp
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons pimentón
  • white wine
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 lime
  • salt
  • pepper

  • Remove the head, shell, and legs from the shrimp and devein with the help of a toothpick.
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  • In a hot skillet, add the olive oil.
  • Then add the sliced garlic, just until they turn golden.
  • Then, off the heat, add the white wine.
  • Return to heat and let the alcohol evaporate a bit.
  • Finally, add the shrimp along with the paprika and season with salt and pepper.
  • Let cook until the liquid reduces a bit and the shrimp are cooked but tender.
  • Serve accompanied by mayonnaise and some lemon wedges.
