Teriyaki Shrimp Tacos

To make exceptional shrimp tacos, you need to try this recipe in flour tortillas with marinated shrimp in teriyaki sauce.   • 2 tablespoons sesame oil, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons butter, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cups soy sauce, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, finely chopped, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 1 Habanero chile, roasted and finely chopped, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar, for teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup Domino® raw sugar, for teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice, for teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 kilos shrimp, large, clean, and peeled
  • 3 slices canned pineapple, cut into pieces
  • 1 red onion, cut into squares
  • 2 cuaresmeño chiles, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into squares
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into squares
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

  • To make the teriyaki sauce, heat the oil and butter in a small pot over medium heat, fry the garlic until fragrant, then add the soy sauce, ginger, habanero chili, rice vinegar, Domino® Brown Sugar, and lime juice. Cook until reduced and achieve a shiny, thick sauce. Set aside.
  • Insert the shrimp, pineapple, onion, cuaresmeño chili, and bell peppers onto a skewer, alternating all the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a grill over high heat, spray with cooking oil, and grill the skewers until the shrimp change color. Brush with the teriyaki sauce and finish cooking. Remove and set aside.
  • On the same grill, heat the flour tortillas.
  • Remove the skewers and serve over warm tortillas, adding more teriyaki sauce if desired, and accompany with yellow lemon.
