Surimi Croquettes

These croquettes are not only easy to make but also delicious, and the whole family will love them, especially the little ones.

  • 12 sticks surimi
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 liters vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 can chipotle chile
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, or mayonnaise dressing

  • FINELY CHOP THE SURIMI STICKS (WITH A KNIFE, BLENDER, OR ELECTRIC CHOPPER) AND PLACE THEM IN A BOWL.
  • ADD GARLIC SALT AND PEPPER AND STIR.
  • NOW POUR IN THE EGG AND MIX WELL. PLACE OIL IN A PAN TO START HEATING ON LOW HEAT.
  • ONCE MIXED, ADD 2 TO 3 TABLESPOONS OF BREADCRUMBS DEPENDING ON HOW YOU SEE THE MIXTURE; IT SHOULD BE A LITTLE MOIST.
  • WITH CLEAN HANDS, MIX WELL BY SQUEEZING THE MIXTURE. NOW FORM SMALL BALLS OR WORM-SHAPES WITH YOUR HANDS AND PLACE THEM IN THE OIL TO FRY, REMEMBER TO KEEP CHECKING THEM SO THEY DON’T BURN, THEY ONLY NEED TO COOK FOR A FEW MINUTES INSIDE AND BROWN OUTSIDE.
  • TO ACCOMPANY IT BESIDES A SALAD, RICE, OR ANY SIDE DISH YOU DESIRE, YOU CAN MAKE A DRESSING BY BLENDING CHIPOTLE WITH MAYONNAISE, OR JUST WITH CHIPOTLE AND SOME KETCHUP, WHICH WILL TASTE GREAT AS WELL.
