Mexican Style Tuna Tacos

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomato, poached and chopped
  • 2 serrano chiles, finely chopped
  • 2 cups tuna
  • 1/4 cups tomato purée
  • 1/2 cups potato, in cubes, cooked
  • 1/4 cups fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 8 flour tortillas
  • avocado, in wedges, for garnish

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the oil, onion, garlic, tomato, serrano chili, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Then add the tuna, tomato puree, potato, cilantro, and lime juice, season with salt and pepper, and cook for another 10 minutes. Set aside.
  • In a griddle, heat the tortillas. Serve the tacos and garnish with avocado and cilantro, accompany with green sauce and limes.
