Seared Tuna Tostadas

There is no snack more delicious than seared tuna tostadas with orange and soy vinaigrette; it is a simple, different preparation that doesn’t take much time to cook. The soy sauce prepared for this recipe is spectacular.

  • 4 tablespoons Oléico® safflower oil
  • 500 grams fresh tuna, quality for sushi
  • 1 cup soy sauce, low sodium
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 árbol chiles, cut in half
  • 2 green onions, including the tail, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups rice
  • 1/4 cups rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cups toasted sesame seeds
  • corn tostadas, to taste
  • avocados, to taste
  • sprouts, to taste

  • For the sauce: In a pan, toast the rice. Set aside.
  • In a bowl add: soy sauce, orange juice, árbol chili, green onion, rice, and rice vinegar. Let the mixture rest for at least 2 hours. Once the time has passed, strain the sauce. Toast the sesame seeds and add them to the sauce.
  • In a pan add the oil. Incorporate the tuna, once it is seared on both sides, remove the fish from the heat.
  • Slice the tuna into thin slices. Marinate the fish in the soy sauce (that you prepared) for 30 minutes.
  • Slice the avocado.
  • On a tostada, place a couple of slices of tuna, add a few pieces of avocado, and a bit of sprouts. Serve.
