Tuna and Potato Cake

This recipe is made with layers of mashed potato and sautéed tuna with onion, bell pepper, and is baked; it is easy to prepare and the ingredients can be found in any market.

  • 2 cans tuna
  • 3/4 kilos potato, made mashed
  • 1 bell pepper, roasted, peeled, and cut into cubes
  • 1/2 onions, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • parsley, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • mayonnaise
  • salt, necessary amount
  • vegetable, to taste in sticks

  • Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil, add the drained tuna, bell pepper, and parsley, and set aside.
  • On a non-stick tray, place a little mashed potato (I tried to shape it like a fish), spread it with mayonnaise, then place a little of the previous preparation on top. After that, add another layer of potato and spread with mayonnaise again.
  • Bake for approximately 10 to 15 minutes at 180°C depending on the oven.
  • Put another layer of sautéed tuna on top, then transfer it to the serving tray.
