Tuna in Sweet Pepper Sauce

For this Christmas, surprise your family and friends with this delicious tuna in sweet pepper sauce. It is a recipe inspired by Italian Christmas cuisine and adapted to rich and easy-to-make Venezuelan cooking.

  • 4 tuna loins
  • 500 tomato sauces
  • 3 chiles, sweet pepper
  • 10 green olives
  • 2 tablespoons flour , to coat the tuna
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 glasses red wine
  • 20 raisins
  • vegetable oil , to fry
  • salt
  • pepper

  • Season the 4 tuna fillets with salt and pepper and coat them in flour. Heat vegetable oil in a pot and fry for 3 minutes on each side. Place the fillets on paper towels to remove excess fat.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the onion and add the peeled diced tomato along with the sweet pepper. Sprinkle with brown sugar, season with salt and pepper to taste, and add the wine.
  • Place the tuna fillets in the sauce, add the olives and raisins. Cover and let cook for 20 minutes on low heat.
