Tuna Milanese

Canned tuna is an ingredient that can be used to a great extent, for example, this recipe for tuna milanesa. A completely different way of making milanesas, taking advantage of the products you have at home to give them new flavors and try recipes that come out of the conventional.

  • 3 cups canned tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle chile
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cups parsley, finely chopped

  • 2 eggs, to bread
  • 1 cup milk, to bread
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs, to bread
  • 1 cup vegetable oil, to fry

  • In a bowl mix the tuna with the chipotle chile, the mustard, the garlic powder, the egg, the breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Make pancakes with your hands, around 100 grams. and cool; bread and reserve.
  • Stretch the pancakes and shape them into a milanesa. Chill in the refrigerator for two hours, or freeze for 30 minutes.
  • To bread, beat the egg with the milk; Season with salt and pepper. Pass the tuna fillets through the egg mixture and then through the breadcrumbs.
  • Fry the milanesas in enough oil and accompany with salad and guacamole.
