Bread Sushi

  • 1 wholemeal bread, and white
  • 1 deli ham, in thin slices
  • 1 American cheese, in slices
  • 1 Manchego cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 pickles, chopped

  • You will mix a bit of mayonnaise with mustard and pickles.
  • It should be slightly thick but spreadable on the bread.
  • With a sharp knife, you will trim the edges of the breads.
  • You flatten each bread with a rolling pin; they should be thin but be careful not to overdo it so they don’t break while rolling.
  • You will join a slice of white bread with a slice of whole wheat bread, placing them lengthwise, that is, on top of each other in the middle of one of the breads so that it becomes longer.
  • You put a light layer of the mayonnaise mixture with pickles, you can spread it all over the bread or just put a few separated lines.
  • You make rolls with the ham the width of the bread.
  • You will add your desired slices of yellow cheese, rolled ham, a bit of grated cheese, leave some space and put another roll of ham so that when rolling, they look like in the picture.
  • You will roll the bread, pressing gently.
  • Once you have the roll, cut it like sushi.
  • Arrange on a plate and serve
