Carrot Puree

This carrot puree is quick and easy to prepare. It's ideal for a baby between 6 and 9 months who is ready for meals with a bit more texture and variety.

  • 6 carrots, peeled and cut into 4 cm pieces
  • 1/4 cups water

  • Place the carrot pieces in a microwave-safe container.
  • Add 1/4 cup of water and cover the container, leaving a gap for steam to escape.
  • Heat in the microwave for 3 minutes on high.
  • Stir the carrots.
  • Cover again and cook for an additional 3-6 minutes, until soft.
  • Place the carrot pieces in a food processor and add 2 tablespoons of the liquid they were cooked in.
  • Blend and add more liquid if desired for a smoother consistency.
